2018 Ford Fiesta St engine and performance –¬†Shockingly, the 2018 Ford Placer ST will, in most circumstances, run on only two cylinders, as the new downsized three-cylinder turbo motor unit features cylinder deactivation technology. So out with this 1. 6 four-cylinder turbo charge unit, and in with the new 1. 5-litre three-cylinder turbo engine.

Ford producer claims the new motor unit produces 197bhp – 17bhp through to the output of the motor in the outgoing Fiesta ST, but equal to its number on ‘overboost’. Gains in peak torque are clear cut, the figure bulging from 240Nm to 290Nm. In conditions of performance, Ford claims the new ST will crack 0-62mph in 6. 7 mere seconds, two tenths of your second faster than the amazing car and on equal with the limited run ST200 model. Top acceleration hasn’t yet been uncovered, but above and around 140mph seems a safe bet.

From launch the new Fiesta ST will be available in both three-door and five-door bodystyles. In tune with the car’s hot hatch image, Recaro sports seats with big side bolsters appear up front, and a flat-bottomed sports steering wheel the actual cut.

Though the car had been revealed, Ford producer won’t be launching the new Fiesta ST until early 2018, with order books opening early next year and deliveries better towards the summer. We all expect a slight increase to around the? 20, 000 mark because it moves on sale.
